It is 3:05am and I'm in my office working, luckily I haven't been here all day; I began my day yesterday at 6am so that I could be at work by 7am. My day was business as usual, ran reports, processed some maintenance batches (for our database) then went on a two hour excursion to our Wheaton store, I290 sucks by the way, came back having only 1 hour left in my shift knowing that I would be back at 3:00am for our audit.
Unfortunately for me I was awakened by the ominous ring tones of my phone indicating to me that this person was not a usual caller, who could it have been you my ask? I should point out it was 1:00 am. It was work calling to tell me that we were having some equipment issues. Luckily for me the night supervisor had enough sense to call our help line getting hold of someone who could possibly remedy the situation remotely, as I cannot. Well time ticked away and I attempted to catch that ever so lovely extra 5 minutes before having to drag myself into the shower to help wake me up and then head out to the office. The on call person was unable to get our equipment going, actual human intervention was required so I took a deep breathe called the office and told them I was on my way to remedy the situation.

I have to say thank God for Dunkin Donuts for making a decent cup of coffee under $2, where does Starbuck's get off peddling their crap for $3, I apologize for you Starbuck's lovers but have you noticed the prices lately add to that a bagel with cream cheese and your out nearly $6 but I digress. Since arriving at the office the equipment has gone down again luckily a quick fix remedied the situation. Alright got some James Brown going so I should be fine for a couple hours, I have a double disc set at my disposal.

So it is now 3:27am, I'm not a slow typist, I am multi-tasking between printing out tags and typing out my thoughts. Well I think I'm done here, I'm going to concentrate on one task and listen to James, ok I guess that's two tasks so shoot me. Peace Out!

According to Webster's stress is defined as a physical, chemical, or emotional factor that causes bodily or mental tension and may be a factor in disease causation. This past weekend my usual happy go lucky self was ready to explode, I almost had my first cigarette in 3 years. Man I was so ready to hope in my car and just drive to wherever the road takes me but instead I went home, took a nap, and watched some mindless TV and just reflected on what set me off - WORK! I need a new job. The demands of the retail public have made me cynical and I'm of the mindset that all people that enter my store are stupid. For instance if I'm wearing an apron, name badge and hat with the company name and logo emblazoned on them why would you ask me do you work here? That question more than any other will get you the evil eye or a sigh of disgust.

Well I suppose the easiest fix for me right now would be to take a vacation. OK I'm off to surf travelocity.
