At present I am conducting an experiment at my home, it involves the correlation between TV viewing and the amount of housework that actually gets done. I have not watched television in the past 4 days and this is what I have to show for it; the dining room now resembles a place where one can eat, the last of the carpet [from the dining room] is gone with the exception of the piece under the heater (which will probably stay because I do not feel like detaching the heater from the pipe in order to move it out of the way), a mound of dirty dishes no longer resides in the sink and my laundry has been put away, I have found time to read (books not just magazines)and I have been able to listen to some of the CD's in my collection.

So why am I conducting this experiment you ask, well first of all I got sick and tired of complaining about the mess and wondering why I did not have the time to clean, (I know, well DUH!) secondly I wanted to see how long I could sustain not watching TV. Luckily for me my cable is not working properly otherwise the temptation would be too great. How long do I plan on keeping this up you may ask? I don't know but I'm thinking at least until I feel satisfied that the apartment is ready for guests. Peace
