Well December is here, I've made it through the "busiest" shopping weekend of the year virtually unscathed. I have embraced my fate and am welcoming the challenge of working another retail Christmas. Now that I have come to grips with the holidays I now have to figure out how to have a cost effective Christmas. It is so much easier blowing some dough on things that you hope people will like, it is a different thing entirely when you set a cap on your spending and actually look for meaningful gifts. I was never one to receive tons of presents nor do I expect any although it is nice, don't get me wrong but with a wedding to pay for, bills to be paid it is just draining having to think about the season. Maybe I should've taken art in school so that I could paint, sketch or make something for people. Oh well I'm sure something will come to me, hopefully not on the 24th.
